Federal Charitable Contribution:
Direct CareGiver Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which means charitable contributions to Direct CareGiver Association are tax deductible on your federal return.

Arizona State Tax Credit: The Arizona State Tax Credit for CY 2006 is up to $400 per year for married couples and $200 for single filers.

Tuition: A contribution of $3,000 pays for the tuition of one student. Or you might consider making a contribution for a portion of the tuition: (a) half tuition gift, $1,500, (b) quarter tuition gift, $750.

You can include the Direct CareGiver Association in your estate planning.

Planning Giving

• Wills – This is the most popular and convenient method of gift planning. Direct CareGiver Association can be included in your will with a specific bequest, a percentage of your estate, or as the remainder beneficiary.
• Charitable Gift Annuities – Assets are transferred to Direct CareGiver Association with an agreement that a fixed rate of return will be paid to the named beneficiaries for life or a specified term. A portion of this income may be tax-free. The remaining principal becomes the property of Direct CareGiver Association upon the donor’s death or expiration of the annuity.
• Charitable Remainder Trusts – Assets are placed in a trust that provides for payments of a specified amount to you for life, or a term of years. Upon expiration of the trust, the remaining trust assets are distributed to Direct CareGiver Association.
• Life Insurance and Retirement Plans – Substantial tax savings are possible when donating a paid-up insurance policy to Direct CareGiver Association. Naming Direct CareGiver Association as a beneficiary of an IRA and/or retirement plan can also produce tax advantages.
